Can monthly donations save the world? Sambhali U.S. supporter Kelly Escribens doesn’t know, but she’s willing to find out. Kelly, who lives in Los Angeles and works at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, gets her heart racing by supporting the women and girls of Rajasthan, India.

Kelly made her first trip to India in 2019 with Kristine Rodriguez and three other women as part of the GRL Collective outreach. (See previous article.) She describes meeting the girls at the Sheerni Boarding Home as life-changing. “They are so full of love, compassion, and have a thirst for life.” Within days, Kelly and the women from GRL Collective raised enough money for new mattresses, blankets, hygiene products, and a desktop computer.

Giving back is important to Kelly. “Philanthropy allows us to share our time, love, and resources,” she says. “I believe everyone should have equal opportunities.” It is something she learned from her immigrant parents, who provide meals to the homeless in their community. “It is rewarding to impact a stranger in a positive way.”

Kelly is a recurring donor to Sambhali U.S., which is an option open to everyone on the Sambhali U.S. donation page. “This way,” she says, ”I know resources go directly to the girls every month.”

Recurring donors are golden, providing the assured income that allows Sambhali U.S.to most effectively support the Sheerni Boarding Home and other Sambhali Trust projects. Please consider joining Kelly and the other amazing recurring donors who make sure their generosity continues to reach around the world.  Simply select the amount and frequency that works for you on our online donation form.
